Curious About A Strong 'Pause?
How can physical therapy help me after a hysterectomy?
Great question! Physical therapy can guide you back to gentle movement, strengthen you at the right time, and help relieve any lingering pain or unwanted symptoms. Think of it as a personalized roadmap to recovery — one step at a time!
What makes you different than other physical therapy?
Most importantly, we want to teach you how to move and manage changes that you are experiencing, not just give you a set of exercises to do. We want you feeling more confident with your body. You are the center of our care!
What if I can't make it to an in-person session?
No worries! Our virtual therapy options mean you can still get the support you need from the comfort of your home.
How long before I start feeling better?
Every body is different, but many women notice improvements in just a few sessions! The key is consistency and patience, and maybe a little laughter along the way!
Do you offer internal Pelvic Floor work?
No. We focus on returning the neuromuscular balance to the pelvic area including the pelvic floor (PF), glutes and lower abs along with teaching you how to manage your internal abdominal pressure. If this doesn't help your PF pain, then we can always refer you for internal PF work.
Do you accept insurance?
At A Strong 'Pause, we choose to be different than "big box PT clinics" who unfortunately are encouraged to see 3-4 patients at a time. Since we strive to care differently, we have chosen to be out-of-network with commercial insurance. With that said, a Superbill can be issued for your PT visit for you to submit to your private insurance company. Please let us know before your first visit if that is your plan; also call your insurance company and clarify out-of-network PT coverage so you are aware of the reimbursement process.
